New Chapter Anyone?
Today Jason and I are closing a door. In May 2012 I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins CNS Lymphoma. I had a tumor the size of a "small goose egg" in my brain. I received 17 rounds of high dose chemo which I had to take in the hospital for 3 days each round. Initially I opted out on a port for my chemo. I chose to have a pik line. After about 7/8 rounds of chemo, my veins weren't very good so I was scheduled for the port. Needless to say, it was the BEST. THING. EVER! LOL I hate needles, yall! HATE. THEM. But this ole port? It has saved many an anxious stick! Today I get to have it removed. Yes. Morning has come.
I would imagine that most of you reading this have been affected by cancer. It truly is a nasty beast!
